Con nuestro trabajo pretendemos estudiar los mecanismos moleculares que controlan el desarrollo y la formaci\u00f3n de sinapsis de las neuronas inhibitorias, tanto en la corteza cerebral como en el n\u00facleo estriado. El entendimiento de estos mecanismos es esencial ya que son la base de ciertos desordenes y enfermedades neurol\u00f3gicas tales como la Esquizofrenia, el s\u00edndrome de Rett o la enfermedad de Huntington.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Molecular mechanisms of neuronal circuits formation and brain disorders.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The high complexity of the brain is not only due to the billions of very different types of neurons that make it up and that connect to form neural networks, but it also depends on the dynamic synaptic connections that are established during the life of the organism. With our work we intend to study the molecular mechanisms that control the development and formation of synapses of inhibitory neurons, both in the cerebral cortex and in the striatum.
